Role purpose:
At Accelya, cloud computing continues to allow us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, we’re seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Engineer. The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational support for the cloud infrastructure – involvement in production priority incidents and the ability to provide quick resolution through analysis and cross-team collaboration
Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures
Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS applications at the direction of lead architects
Design and development, Deployment and migration, Monitoring and optimization, Security and compliance for cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services
Manage automations
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher education) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics
Process Automations (scripting), CI/CD, Infrastructure as code
Architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms is a plus
AWS certifications are a plus
Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
Tools
Public Cloud AWS, AWS CLI, Jenkins, Gitlab, Terraform, Spinnaker, Jira, Confluence.
CI/CD hands-on experience
Windows OS and Linux OS
Languages/Frameworks: PowerShell, bash, Python
Bonus: Docker, Packer, Kubernetes, C/C++, 1-2 years of experience with AWS
