About the Position

The Santa Cruz Warriors are looking for a Coordinator, Game and Arena Operations to create a world class experience for our fans, partners, and community. In this role, you will develop, plan, and execute new and creative in-game and in-arena entertainment elements and manage event logistics. You will also play a key role in supporting all aspects of arena operations to ensure the efficiency, maintenance, security, and functionality of Kaiser Permanente Arena, including coordinating and executing various events. This position works closely with both internal and external constituents, an excellent opportunity for you to be a part of our growing and exciting sports and entertainment organization that values initiative, creativity, and drive for results. This position reports to the Manager, Arena Operations (SCW).

This is a full-time position based onsite in Santa Cruz, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create first-class entertainment features to ensure partner fulfillment and fan enjoyment
  • Partner with Marketing and Partnership teams to ensure all client fulfillment is incorporated in game presentation
  • Devise new and creative in-game and in-arena entertainment, including on-court promotions, video pieces, fan interactive elements, mascot skits, etc.
  • Integrate outside talent, props, and arena technology into a cohesive and well-choreographed entertainment package
  • Coordinate logistics for non-game related events (i.e. season ticket holder nights, fan festivals, community impact events, etc.)
  • Script event logs, graphics, in-arena and promotional scripts for every Warriors home game
  • Oversee game day event staff (i.e PA Announcer, Mascot, DJ, Pod Squad, Emcees, etc.)
  • Create game day event scripts, rundowns, and all aspects of the in-game presentation
  • Execute maintenance projects related to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of Kaiser Permanente Arena, assuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Complete maintenance and repair projects based on the assigned completion date
  • Perform regular arena walkthroughs, identify areas in need of repair, replacement, or upgrade
  • Ensure all safety equipment and procedures are up to date and functioning properly
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of game presentation and/or live event management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently lead and prioritize multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
  • Bending, stretching, and lifting to 50 lbs.
Time Commitment
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule as evenings and weekends may be required

  • $24.00 - $25.00 Per Hour+ Bonus
