To manage and support inventory of equipment within a specific scope of responsibilities. Ensure appropriate containers are used to meet customer specifications and aim for balanced equipment stock in container depots. This is supported by maintaining high data quality of equipment status information.
ResponsibilitiesMain Tasks
- Daily tracking and releasing of equipment for all depots/terminals in the area to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Assures that customers obtain equipment which meets their shipping needs in a timely fashion.
- Control and manage import and export permits and paperwork before customs authorities.
- Creates empty bookings as required.
- Arrange and process empty container off hires.
- Repositions containers that are sold, or for sale, to the buyer.
- Tracks and traces overdue equipment to ensure faster turn-around and decrease of turn- around times.
- Issues works orders (when applicable) to reposition equipment by rail and/or by truck.
- Ensures that all equipment is at the appropriate location.
- Updates various reports and cleans the error file when necessary
- Evaluate vendor performance
- Handles inquiries relating to equipment releases or inventory availability.
- Reviews gate in, gate out and empty container invoices

- University Degree (Logistics/Supply Chain/Maritime/Business or related) or Diploma in Marine Studies or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- 0–3 years relevant experience in liner shipping, logistics, or container/equipment operations (preferred 1–3 years).
- Good understanding of equipment dispatch and container logistics.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong analytical skills; able to work systematically, manage exceptions, and prioritize under pressure.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
