The Role

Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production and Communication, the Coordinator, Content Marketing supports the production and execution of marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats for the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. This role collaborates with the Senior Manager to ensure editorial consistency and effective storytelling. The Coordinator works closely with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high[1]quality, timely, and engaging content, including blogs, social media posts, podcasts, and website materials. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Creation (50%) Develop engaging and relevant content, including social media posts, blogs, videos, newsletters, podcasts, website updates, and stories. Ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms. Collaborate with the design team and copywriters to produce high-quality, visually appealing content. Stay current with social media trends and emerging features to inform content strategies.

  • Department Strategy (25%) Identify target audiences across different social media platforms and understand their needs and behaviors. Develop cohesive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives. Create content calendars with themed campaigns and structured posting schedules. Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and track progress.

  • Community Management (15%) Respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally. Engage with followers through interactive initiatives such as contests, Q&A sessions, and discussions. Monitor brand reputation and address feedback, including negative comments, in a timely and effective manner

  • Analytics and Reporting (10%) Track key performance metrics such as impressions, reach, engagement, clicks, and conversions. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize social media strategies. Prepare regular reports to share insights and campaign performance with stakeholders

Qualifications

HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.

  • Content creation skills, including writing, graphic design, and video editing.

  • Analytical skills for data interpretation and performance reporting.

  • Marketing strategy development, with an understanding of marketing funnels and customer journeys.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creativity and awareness of trends, with the ability to identify and leverage emerging opportunities.

  • Strong proofreading and copyediting abilities with adherence to style guides.

Experience: Two+ years of experience in marketing or social media management, preferably in a not-for-profit setting.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience in content marketing or social media management will be considered.
