We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our team at Hapag-Lloyd (Canada) Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving business growth and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and expand our customer portfolio, ensuring revenue growth and implementing effective strategies. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams, handle customer requests, and promote our digital products and self-service tools.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of small to mid-sized customers, focusing on volume and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute strategies to secure new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships.
- Proactively follow up with customers via phone calls to ensure their needs are met and to gather market insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on customer needs and provide efficient solutions.
- Handle incoming sales-related customer requests, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer orientation.
- Promote the usage of Hapag-Lloyd's digital products and self-service tools to enhance customer experience and efficiency.
- Process quotation requests from customers, adhering to Hapag-Lloyd's terms and conditions.
- Gather and share valuable market information obtained during customer interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account information in our CRM system.
- Ensure consistent application of Hapag-Lloyd's policies and guidelines across all customer interactions.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Previous experience in sales, with a background in the maritime or logistics industry being an advantage.
- A University/College degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English is essential. French would be an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow established guidelines and procedures.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to handle customer requests efficiently and professionally.
- Skilled negotiator and active listener, capable of understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Receptive to new ideas and able to quickly grasp complex concepts.
