How You’ll Make an Impact :
- Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.
- Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.
- Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or JR Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approach.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
- At least 3 years of related experience and/or training
- Exposure to industry, an equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Experience with PLC's, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision Systems
- Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred
- Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline OR Technical Diploma with three years of college-level study or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Intermediate understanding of electrical circuits
- Electrical panel design experience
- Pneumatic design knowledge
- Hydraulic design knowledge
- PLC programming experience
- HMI development experience
- Robot programming experience
- Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Experience with servo applications
- Experience with device communication networks (DNET, ENET, Profibus)
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and maintain positive relationships under pressure
- Current or prior JR Automation or automation industry experience
- Travel up to 25% (domestic and international)
- Must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check
