Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Develop and manage large-scale capital engineering projects for automation, IoT and continuous improvement solutions, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Health & Safety, Finance, Quality) and external suppliers to drive project success, managing stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the preparation of Capex documents, including cost estimates, project justifications, equipment layouts, and technical specifications, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage equipment installation and commissioning, including contractor supervision, safety compliance, and ensuring adherence to all environmental regulations and legislative requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and increasing operational efficiency through the adoption of advanced technologies like AI, robotics, and digital twin models.
- Ensure the development and delivery of proper training programs and operational documentation (as-built drawings, manuals, spare parts lists) to ensure seamless handover to operational teams.
- Maintain strict financial control over capital projects, accurately forecasting expenditures, managing budgets, and ensuring fiduciary compliance throughout project execution.
- Champion Zero Harm and environmental standards, ensuring projects meet the highest safety requirements and adhere to regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Engineer – Electrical, Controls & OT Networks

The role
You’ll support delivery of key programs including the Network Transformation Programme, PLC upgrades, OT infrastructure uplift and automation enhancements across more than 30 service centres. This role blends hands‑on technical expertise with high‑impact stakeholder coordination, ensuring safe, standardised and reliable automation performance across the region.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate planning and delivery of network, cyber and automation projects across APAC.
- Provide technical input across PLCs, SCADA, robotics, industrial Ethernet and electrical systems.
- Support design reviews, FAT, commissioning and site deployment with vendors and operations teams.
- Troubleshoot controls/network issues and help restore uptime quickly.
- Ensure compliance with CHEP safety and engineering standards.
- Build capability across site teams through training and knowledge sharing.
What you bring
- Degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechatronics/Network Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong grounding in OT networking (VLANs, L2/3 switching, diagnostics, redundancy protocols).
- Experience with major automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi).
- Proven project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical teams.
