The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Controlling Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Participating in various accounting tasks such as monthly closing procedures, booking and reviewing operating expenses, accrual valuation and documentation, controlling asset depreciation, overseeing and correcting financial statements, following up on cash flow (actual & estimation), and more.
• Supporting with local corporate income tax calculation, monthly tax declarations, VAT netting, deduction corrections, reclassification of accounts in different ledgers, preparing hyperinflation journals, maintaining stamp tax ledger, etc.
• Interfacing with various government portals such as Dijital Vergi Dairesi , Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu, e-invoice, e-ledger, as well as collaborating with specialist roles to enable flow of information, while ensuring accurate reporting and submission of data as required by statutory regulations.
• Liaising with internal and external auditors, assisting with preparation of GAAP to GAAP files, extracting and providing relevant documentation to audit partners, supporting ISO audits, and similar activities.
• Ensuring compliance with company policy, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements through account reconciliations, process and record reviews, SOX and financial standards surveys, etc.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or similar subject from an accredited institution
• Knowledge of Turkish Statutory accounting framework
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a relevant role

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Demonstrable command of the English language

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or similar subject from an accredited institution
• Experience working in a multinational, multicultural environment
• Soft skills including ability to communicate effectively, willingness to learn, and being a self-starter

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for remote work, but may require travel to company location a number of agreed upon days per week)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
