In this role, you'll demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple client projects at once, while overseeing and supporting an onshore and offshore team of accountants.
What you'll do:
Lead a full cycle accounting close
- Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Able to analyze financial reports and communicate results to founders
- Act as the point of contact for external auditors and tax preparers
- Oversee all bookkeeping, reconciliations, accrual journal entries
- Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections)
- Accounts Payable (processing bills, set up vendors)
- Payroll (set-up, processing, and benefits)
- Purchase order, inventory, and warehouse management
- Experience accounting for inventory and COGS (bill of materials, inventory assemblies, cost accounting)
- Proficiency in three-statement financial modeling
- Able to build cash and accrual-based forecasts
- Accounting ERPs (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite)
- Expense management (Expensify, Ramp, Concur, Bill)
- Billing (Ramp, Bill)
- Payroll (Gusto, JustWorks, Trinet, ADP)
- Sales platforms (Shopify, Amazon FBA)
- Merchant service platforms (Stripe, PayPal)
- Inventory software (Cin7, Fishbowl, SOS)
- Revenue Recognition (ASC606)

- W9/1099 and W8/1042 implementation and execution
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- Concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 10+ years of applicable experience in tech, CPG, and life science industries
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting theory, principles and practices
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills

Skills Required

- 10+ years relevant experience in tech, CPG, or life sciences
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Full-cycle accounting and month-end close experience
- Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred revenue, prepaid/accrued expenses
- Experience accounting for inventory, COGS, bill of materials, cost accounting
- Three-statement financial modeling and cash/accrual forecasting
- Experience managing onshore and offshore accounting teams
- Familiarity with accounting ERPs (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and related tooling
- Experience with payroll systems (Gusto, JustWorks, TriNet, ADP)
- Tax compliance experience (federal/state filings, sales tax, W9/1099, R&D credits)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
