As Controller, you will manage the accounting system to provide timely, accurate financial reports and information, and oversee financial and business office processes that help to drive our mission forward and support the highest quality of care for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee Accounting Operations: Manage the general ledger and monthly and annual close processes to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Support Financial Planning: Assist in preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and capital project projections, variance analysis, and financial reporting to facilitate organizational decision-making.
- Monitor Financial Performance: Compute key financial ratios, bank covenants, and develop other key metrics to measure financial results.
- Oversee Business Office Functions: Provide leadership for accounts payable, payroll, and billing and collections.
- Ensure Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain strong internal controls and compile documentation or prepare analyses needed for external audits, regulatory filings, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and Form 990.
- Partner Across the Organization: Collaborate with department leaders and senior leadership to provide financial insight, operational analysis, and strategic support.
- Champion Process Improvement: Play a leading role in financial system upgrades, process improvements, or other initiatives to improve operations or business office processes.
What You Bring to the Table
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with a strong concentration in financial accounting. CPA licensure or an MBA is preferred.
- Professional Experience: Five to seven years of progressive experience in management of accounting systems, financial reporting, and budgeting are required. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with computerized accounting systems and financial software, with the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial processes.

Londonderry Village is a non-profit, faith-based Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. Established as an outreach ministry of the Church of the Brethren, it provides a full continuum of care, including independent living, personal care, memory care, and nursing services. The organization is dedicated to providing high-quality housing and supportive services for elderly persons, focusing on compassionate, individualized care that promotes independence, dignity, and an enhanced quality of life for its residents.
