Position Title: Controller
Location: Atlanta, GA
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Position Description:
The Controller is responsible for Accounting, Tax, Banking, A/R and A/P functions. This position manages multiple (7-10) professionals and outside service providers. This individual reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, directing and coordinating all Accounting operational functions including A/R, A/P and Tax
Coordinates and prepares the US GAAP accounting for 2 held subsidiaries and consolidation of HoldCo business results
Conducts monthly financial statement variance reviews with key stakeholders
Coordinates activities of external auditors and tax services providers
Provides management with information vital to the decision-making process
Assesses current accounting operations, offering recommendations for process and systems improvements
Owns controls over payables, receivable and cash management
Maintains intercompany/cost-center accounting and allocations
Evaluates the effectiveness of accounting systems, supports migrations, updates and integrations
Maintains A/R aging and works closely w/ General Counsel to escalate billing disputes
Monitors bank account balances and investment activity to support operations
Oversees tax compliance and reporting
Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of US GAAP – CPA Preferred
Prior experience managing A/P, A/R and Tax functions highly desirable
Comfortable performing and prioritizing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
Comfortable working in a highly demanding start-up environment and takes pride in building processes and systems for an emerging, fast-changing organization
Excellent interpersonal abilities: Ability to get along with diverse personalities, internal and external stakeholders including investors. Experience working with VC/PE sponsors preferred
Experience running an Accounting close process end-to-end
