The Controller is a new role within VectorVMS’ organization, created following the recent takeover of VectorVMS by Pixid Group. This is a full-time hybrid role in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area, with flexibility for remote work. 

As the Controller, you will directly and primarily report to the Company’s Managing Director. You will also report to the Group’s CFO based in France. 

You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements and reports, analyzing financial data, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and strategy. 

In the first months, during a transition period, you will accompany the Company and Group’s management in implementing the Company’s financial organization and processes on a stand-alone basis. 


 

The role of the Finance Controller includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Support management in implementing the Company’s financial organization and processes on a stand-alone basis. 
  • Lead introduction and roll-out of a new ERP system.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 
  • Implement accrual accounting processes to align revenue and expenses. 
  • Oversee accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense control. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and record-keeping. 
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning. 
  • Monitor budget variances and work with outside accounting and the Executive team to assist in determining and explaining significant discrepancies. 
  • Manage company cash flow to maintain a healthy financial position. 
  • Work with outside tax consultants to manage and optimize tax planning. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. 
  • Work with the executive team to identify opportunities for financial efficiencies evaluate potential investments, and related business operational improvements. 
  • Prepare the Group’s monthly reporting. 
  • Communicate financial information to senior management at Company and Group levels. 
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to ensure financial considerations are considered. 
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as fraud, errors, and compliance issues, coordinating with IT resources to minimize cyber security controls related to banking, etc. 
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage and other risk management measures are in place. 


 

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office with exceptional MS Excel skills. 


 

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. 
  • CPA designation preferred. 
  • Thorough familiarity with US tax laws and codes is preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of US accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with stakeholders at all levels of an organization. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, people management skills 
  • Experience managing accounting practices at lower- to middle-market firms preferred. 
  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. 
  • Experience with using and managing an ERP system like NetSuite or equivalent 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, the willingness and ability to delve into detail when necessary. 
  • Strong organizational skills and deadline-driven. 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 
  • Experience in the technology or staffing industry is a plus.
