Perkins&Will is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to support our Seattle and San Francisco Studios—someone who brings deep expertise, a collaborative spirit, and an appreciation for the relationships that shape great design. The ideal candidate can reside in either metropolitan area.

What you'll do in this role

Common and Baseline Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the overall success of the office by adhering to firm and project goals.
  • Draft, review, and assist with the negotiation of consultant contracts and related modifications.
  • Facilitates execution of consultant contracts.
  • Identify potential contract risks/issues and escalate to Legal for resolution.
  • Audits and updates executed contract copies in required locations (internal project folders, marketing system, and Deltek Vision).
  • Assists Project Managers in understanding the Perkins&Will contract process and locations of templates, policies and other resources.
  • Sends correspondence/communicates with clients, consultants & GC (confirming contract status, emailing comments, answering questions, etc.).
  • Tracks insurance compliance for active consultant contracts and requesting updated certificates as needed.
  • Query project planning system to find new projects for tracking.
  • Manages and maintains contracts database/status log.
  • Reports contract status to project managers regularly.
  • Assists PM/Principals in creating consultant agreements and/or Owner/Architect agreements using AIA software.

What we're looking for

  • Methodical and organized approach
  • Shows initiative and ability to work well independently and with others
  • Exhibits strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Able to pivot and have a “hands on” working style
  • Able to work and interact with departments through the organization
  • Background in architecture, engineering, construction management, law, or business administration 
  • 10+ years relevant experience 

Software

  • Deltek Vantagepoint 
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Tech savvy maintaining contracts database/status log and AIA contract software

Licensure/Certifications/Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required

Salary range: $95,900 - $110,000 commensurate with location, experience, education, and skillset.
