At ServiceTitan we are on a mission to be the Operating System of the Trades. ServiceTitan is looking for a Contracts Manager to help enable the company to grow rapidly in support of our Legal Team. This position will work closely with ServiceTitan’s existing Contracts Administrator, report to the company’s Associate General Counsel and be part of a growing Global Legal Team. This role is critical to the continued success of ServiceTitan, and is mission-critical to support our Legal Team.

The Contracts Manager will prepare and negotiate a variety of agreements, as detailed below and provide interpretation of contractual terms and conditions. In addition, this role will update and maintain ServiceTitan’s contract management system. Experience in dealing with highly confidential information and interfacing with multiple levels of management, cross-functional employees, along with sales team members is required. While our headquarters are in Glendale, CA, this is a remote role. Pacific time zone is preferred; candidates located elsewhere must be comfortable flexing to accommodate Pacific time zone as required. This role does not currently have any direct reports.

What you'll do:

  • Contractual Matters:

    • Prepare and interpret common vendor/procurement agreements (SaaS, consulting, services, SOWs, order forms, and others) and NDAs.

      • Coordinate periodic outside legal review on the above and provide direction to external resources as needed.

      • Nice to have - negotiate/redline the above agreement types as well.

    • Assess contract requests that deviate from established standards, determining if additional authorization is required.

    • Guide internal customers in obtaining necessary approvals for non-standard contractual requests or terms.

    • Ensure contracts are authorized and signed per ServiceTitan’s policies.

    • Responsible for all aspects of contract processing, including to upload contracts into ServiceTitan’s contract management system, and ensuring its accuracy.

    • Assist Legal Team members with contract-related projects.

    • Monitor Legal Department-related contract expirations and manage renewals.

    • Collaborate closely with the Legal Team and other departments on contract template revisions.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of ServiceTitan’s daily operations, teams, and processes.

  • Manage legal assignments and project trackers; ensure deadlines are tracked and met.

  • Drive continuous improvement, scalability and operational excellence in processes and execution.

  • Other duties as assigned.
     

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4 – 8 years of relevant experience that is primarily comprised of the responsibilities noted above - preferably with a technology company, SaaS experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to analyze, negotiate, and prepare various agreement types (as denoted above), and to communicate effectively on legal and business issues.

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with SaaS and software licensing concepts, and general legal agreement concepts such as limitations of liability, indemnification, warranties, acceptance, license limits, etc.

  • Extensive experience working cross-functionally with business teams.

  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and provide contractual advice and analysis to meet business goals.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, SalesForce, Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Slack, Docusign/e-signature, Contract Lifecycle Management software, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Team player with high energy, creativity, and self-motivation.

  • Strong project management experience with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results on time.

  • Experience implementing/utilizing contract lifecycle management systems is a plus.

  • To be a proactive, driven, adaptable person who can, with poise and patience, prioritize and balance multiple projects, path-find, and recalibrate advice in view of shifting priorities, legal developments, and risk tolerance.

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $86,000 USD - $124,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
