Chainlink Labs is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our Legal Team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing vendor agreements, M/NDAs, and Intellectual Property (IP) documents. We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and a keen eye for detail. As a key stakeholder in the Procurement process, the right candidate will not only manage risk but also improve our processes. With a focus on ownership and efficiency, the Contracts Manager will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Procurement, Security, Finance, and the business.
Objectives of this Role
- Own legal review, analysis, and counterparty negotiation of all vendor agreements, escalating issues as needed.
- Own legal review of M/NDAs
- Manage the review of all IP documents, administer the IP portfolio, and support administrative tasks.
- Manage the Repository for all company agreements, ensuring that metadata is correct for all new filings.
- Propose and implement efficiency improvements, revisions to playbooks, and risk reduction measures in the Procurement process.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2 + years of experience managing a high volume of contracts.
- Efficient issue spotting in vendor agreements.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills within Legal and cross-functional teams.
- BA/BS degree, preference for Masters or law degree.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Organized with the ability to consolidate information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a large tech company, startup, or in the software/IT industry.
- Knowledge of blockchain, experience in the blockchain industry, or desire to learn about blockchain technology.
- Familiarity with legal and procurement tools such as Ironclad and Zip.
- Experience in drafting SOPs/playbooks for agreement review processes.
