We are looking to fill the role of Campus Contract Manager to lead the procurement and contracts management of data center build projects in the  Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland region as we continue to develop our build program across the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) region.  

Within CO+I, the Contracts Management team is responsible for establishing a construction services supply chain that can meet and deliver services to support the ever-growing growth of the Cloud and our customers. We support a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction projects.  

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud.  We are responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement planning and sourcing strategies to support project delivery, budget, and schedule objectives.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Manage supplier selection, onboarding, and performance to ensure alignment with business and project goals.
  • Lead the negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts, applying industry best practices and Microsoft contracting requirements.
  • Oversee contract performance, including supplier compliance, changes, claims, notices, and corrective actions as the contract subject matter expert.
  • Drive project execution by ensuring goods and services are delivered on time, within specification, and with effective risk management.
  • Champion continuous improvement through process simplification, automation, data analytics, and adoption of digital procurement tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field AND proven years of experience in Commercial / Contractual Construction Role OR Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying,  Engineering, Supply Chain or related field AND proven years of experience in Commercial / Contractual Construction Role OR equivalent experience.

Background Check Requirements:  

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Sourcing and Category Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Finland is € 87,000.00 - € 143,200.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Sourcing and Category Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across Finland is € 105,700.00 - € 201,500.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Skills Required

  • Master's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in commercial/contractual construction roles (procurement and contract management)
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud background check
  • Experience leading procurement planning, negotiation, supplier selection/onboarding, and contract administration for large construction projects
  • Familiarity with digital procurement tools, process automation, and data analytics to drive continuous improvement
