We seek a commercially aligned attorney to join our team and provide hands-on and proactive advice to our energy supply and trading businesses.

Reporting to the Managing Counsel and joining our 35+ member legal team which operate from locations in the US, UK, South Africa, Costa Rica and Brazil, this role presents an exciting opportunity for the right individual.

Main Responsibilities:

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Advising on:

  • Energy product sale, purchase, logistics and service agreements

  • Commercial contracts relating to the operation of WKC’s global business

• Providing general commercial legal support to a team of legal professionals who are advisers to WKC’s global energy trading business

• A strong and proactive focus on compliance

• Proactively developing contract management and other legal processes and contract templates to promote efficient workflows and align legal risk management requirements across the WKC Group

• Educating business and support colleagues on legal and contract matters and best practices

• Internal and external customer support – developing connectivity and relations with colleagues in other offices and building direct relationships with customers and key suppliers

• Strong, visible and frequent collaboration with internal stakeholders –

• At all times be a positive brand ambassador for World Kinect and its subsidiaries

Main Requirements:

• Law Degree and 4+ years of experience.

• Training and post qualification experience at a leading law firm. In-house commercial legal experience, which may include time at an energy company, oil major, trading house or shipping, transportation, renewables or industrial services company is welcomed but not essential

• A pragmatic, hands-on lawyer who is able to think on their feet and find sensible solutions to legal challenges; ability to assess issues, take ownership and efficiently implement solutions

• Strong stakeholder management skills - emotionally intelligent and able to win trust and develop business relationships

• Knowledge and a passion to assist World Kinect in its sustainable energy transition

• Professional presence and integrity

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, performance-driven culture.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
