This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing BW Energy’s supply chain activities, including sourcing, procurement, and logistics. Key duties involve leading contract negotiations with Legal, managing the entire contract lifecycle, executing commercial strategies, and conducting market surveys. The specialist will also oversee the bidding process, qualify new vendors, and ensure strict compliance with company principles and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and manage contracts negotiation in conjunction with Legal team;
- Conduct marked surveys and analysis to obtain relevant information on potential suppliers, services, etc to optimize Supply Chain process;
- Manage all administration activities around the contracts lifecycle;
- Support and execute commercial contract strategies;
- Identify and research potential new suppliers;
- Identify and share best practices with the team and the group;
- Assist the Vendor Qualification (VQ) team to qualify new suppliers;
- Facilitate the collection of data and information regarding the VQ process;
- Work closely with other departments to support business development and market entry needs;
- Maintain files stored in SharePoint and update Supply Chain reports;
- Update all required systems to reflect the contracts accessibility;
- Provide regular status and progress reporting;
- Manage execution and call-out of agreements;
- Manage and prepare bid processes, request, and manage the contracts for the purchase of materials and services;
- Ensure compliance with Company Purpose & Principles, best practices, SC processes, procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations;
- Contribute with ideas for improvement of best practices, processes and procedures;
- Additional administrative assistance, as needed;
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or International Relations
Experience:
- Relevant experience in the role;
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and procedures is an added advantage;
- Familiarity with IFS processes and procedures is an added advantage.
Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications;
- Strong knowledge of best practice within Procurement scope and processes in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry;
- Basic knowledge of risk identification and management related to suppliers and commitments;
- Basic knowledge of QA/QC evaluation of vendors and contractors including quality audits on vendors and contractors;
- Strong research capabilities via various market platforms, search engines etc;
- Advanced in English (oral and written).
Skills Required
