We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Contract Administrator to support in delivering a diverse range of multidisciplinary projects across South East Queensland. In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Understanding all commercial aspects of the construction and utilities contracts and identifying key areas of contract and financial risk

  • Project forecasting, financial modelling, cost control management and performance reporting

  • Procurement of subcontractors and negotiation of commercial terms in accordance with Company subcontracting protocols

  • Management of subcontractor sub-contracts (including payment, variations, claims and EOT)

  • Preparation of monthly Head Contract progress claims

  • Liaising closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and the wider project team to ensure commercial and financial risks are mitigated.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Formal Qualifications in Contract Management or Quantity Surveying is desirable

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract formation in the construction and/or utilities sectors

  • Sound commercial and financial acumen related to the construction/utilities sectors

  • Experience in contractual notifications, claim preparation and negotiation

  • Have excellent IT skills and advanced skills in Excel and Word

  • Experience with JDE will be an advantage, but is not essential

Skills Required
