What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
- Assist in maintaining contract and subcontract files, ensuring compliance with federal reporting, regulations, and policies.
- Support the management of GWAC and Schedule contracts, including monitoring compliance with terms, tracking modifications, and ensuring timely payment of contract access fees.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve contractual issues that may arise during contract performance, while mitigating risks and meeting customer needs.
- Contribute to drafting terms and conditions for contracts and agreements.
- Assist in the negotiation of subcontract agreements, including the preparation of small business subcontracting plans and incorporating prime contract flow downs and provisions into subcontracts.
- Work closely with different departments to meet contractual requirements and present a knowledgeable and unified company image to customers.
- Provide support to Program Managers and Business area leads, offering sound business advice and counsel as needed.
- Act as a primary point of contact between the company and the customer for contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects, including business agreements.
- Conduct research on contracting and compliance-related matters, and provide business advice and counsel to Operations management and functional departments in accordance with bid specifications, government regulations, and internal policies.
- Ensure the proactive maintenance of contract documentation.
- Review performance and contractual deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to bid specifications and contract terms.
- Assist in the review and preparation of prime and subcontract solicitation packages, including issuing and responding to subcontract solicitation packages to support prime proposals.
- Contribute to value-added analysis of solicitation terms and conditions, identifying risks and potential mitigation strategies.
- Provide timely support to the proposal team by reviewing solicitations, identifying questions or concerns, and taking appropriate action.
- Support the development of cost and offer volumes, as well as intellectual property and organizational conflict of interest plans as required.
- May assist in negotiations and administration of Non-Disclosure, Teaming, Subcontractor documents, and other agreements, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, coordinating legal reviews when necessary.
- Manage a workload effectively, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks with attention to detail.
- Develop an understanding of the business case, financial and analytical considerations, and profit and loss implications.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of contracts/subcontracts administration, preferably in the area of Federal Government contracting.
- Familiarity with government regulations, such as FAR/DFAR, and the ability to learn and interpret these regulations within complex contracts.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with basic Excel and Word skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete work assignments within given deadlines.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and energetic attitude.
- Highly organized and results-oriented, demonstrating ownership and follow-through.
- Team player mindset, willing to collaborate and go the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Familiarity with central electronic repositories, such as SharePoint or OneDrive, is a plus.
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification such as Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
