LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Canada, working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone) or PT (Pacific Timezone).


THE ROLE:


The Global Project Management Office (PMO) team reports to our Head of PMO. It plays an important role in setting up the operational structure, systems, protocols and standards at Apply Digital. The PMO team supports all disciplines at Apply Digital at various phases of the project lifecycle. The PMO team also plays a key role in supporting the Project Management team and Business Development.


We are seeking a Contracts Administrator with a strong emphasis on deep contract management experience. The ideal candidate will possess a solid paralegal background, focusing on managing contracts and ensuring compliance, rather than traditional paralegal tasks. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts.
  • Ensure contract details align with regulations, compliances, as well as company guidelines, policies, objectives and goals.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders to identify and address potential risks.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support contract negotiations and decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and related documentation.
  • Develop and implement contract management processes and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform periodic reviews of the agreement templates, and update the templates to ensure compliance and to reduce potential risks for the company.
  • Educate and guide internal teams about their rights and responsibilities per contract terms as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices with laws and regulations relevant to the company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Law, or a related discipline).
  • Certification or specialization in contract law.
  • Proven (minimum 5 years) experience in contract management, with a strong focus on complex agreements. 
  • Excellent understanding of legal terminology and principles related to contract law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legal documents effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace Tools.
