As the CONTRACTOR - Email Marketing Manager, you will own and execute email marketing strategies for both prospects and customers, driving acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth. Reporting to the Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you will develop, implement, and optimize data-driven email campaigns that align with business goals and customer needs.
This role requires a mix of strategic planning, hands-on execution, and adaptability-anticipating business needs, supporting sales efforts, and continuously improving nurture programs to accelerate pipeline and customer engagement. You will work cross-functionally with sales, demand generation, product marketing, customer success, and marketing operations to ensure that email is a key driver of growth and retention.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Execution
- Develop and manage the end-to-end execution of email campaigns for both prospects and customers, ensuring messaging aligns with business objectives.
- Own lead nurturing workflows, moving prospects through the funnel and accelerating conversions to support sales and demand generation efforts.
- Design and manage customer lifecycle email campaigns, including onboarding, engagement, product adoption, cross-sell/upsell, and retention initiatives.
- Anticipate and respond to evolving business needs by quickly adjusting email strategies to support new initiatives, product launches, and revenue goals.
- Maintain best-in-class email deliverability standards, including list hygiene, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and IP warming strategies.
Collaboration & Alignment with Sales
- Partner closely with the sales team to align email efforts with pipeline acceleration strategies, helping drive lead conversion and nurture effectiveness.
- Work with demand generation and product marketing teams to ensure that email campaigns support prospecting, lead nurturing, and sales enablement.
- Collaborate with customer success and lifecycle marketing to enhance post-sale engagement and retention strategies.
- Align with business priorities to ensure email campaigns support key revenue-driving initiatives.
- Manage and collaborate with a contractor to support email execution, with the potential to oversee additional resources in the future.
Performance & Optimizatio n
- Analyze email performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rates, pipeline influence, revenue impact) and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times to continuously improve engagement.
- Provide performance reports and insights to marketing leadership, sales, and other key stakeholders.
Compliance & Innovation
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and maintain database hygiene.
- Stay ahead of email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, continuously identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
About You
- 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or demand generation, preferably in B2B or SaaS industries.
- Experience working with sales teams to align email marketing with lead generation, nurturing, and pipeline acceleration.
- Expertise in email marketing platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, and automation workflows for both prospects and customers.
- Ability to anticipate business needs and pivot email strategies to support new initiatives and revenue goals.
- Experience managing and collaborating with contractors or external resources, with potential to oversee additional team members in the future.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in analyzing email performance metrics and making strategic, actionable recommendations.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and marketing automation workflows.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- This position is preferred to sit in Austin, Texas or Bogota, Colombia
- Must have excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills; both written and verbal. Must be friendly, clear, and a strong speaker with C2 English language proficiency

- Marketo certification or advanced HubSpot expertise.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- Knowledge of multi-channel lifecycle marketing strategies (email, SMS, push notifications).
