As a Mobile Developer, you will be expected to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, performant mobile applications. You will review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and user experience (UX) requirements. You will provide input into final decisions regarding mobile architecture, technology stack, and application security.

 

What You Will Do:

• Develop a deep understanding of the architecture of our current mobile application implementations.

• Develop existing system functional flow and integration understanding with backend services (APIs).

• Participate in solution architecture and technical design sessions for new features and applications.

• Develop and document detailed technical designs to meet business and UX requirements.

• Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, and quality requirements.

• Implement unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application robustness and quality.

• Proactively identify and address areas of performance optimization, technical debt, and automation within the CI/CD pipeline.

• Work with other team members on mobile best practices, code reviews, and debugging.

• Work with Enterprise IT to manage deployment processes to app stores (Apple App Store / Google Play Store).

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to ensure technical feasibility and optimal user experience.

 

What You Will Need:

 

Education & Experience

• 5 - 8 years of professional experience in native mobile application development (iOS, Android, or both).

• Minimum 15 years of full-time education (Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred).

• Certification in relevant mobile technologies (e.g., Google Associate Android Developer, iOS Development Certification) is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Expertise in Mobile Development using React Native to develop apps for iOS and Android.

• Strong Proficiency in:

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

  • Consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs, JSON, and experience with asynchronous programming.

  • Mobile application performance profiling and optimization.

  • Mobile security best practices (data encryption, authentication, etc.).

• Experience with:

  • Version control systems, specifically Git and Gitflow.

  • Agile/Scrum development methodology.

  • CI/CD pipelines for mobile (e.g., Fastlane, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitrise).

  • Unit testing and test automation frameworks (e.g., XCTest, JUnit, Espresso).

• Good to have experience with other native and cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, Swift, Kotlin) or mobile web technologies.

• Proven ability to analyze customer requirements, provide solution design, and lead development for complex enhancement requests.

• Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.

• Strong track record of collaboration within a cross-functional team (Product, Design, QA).

• Understanding of mobile OS architecture, lifecycle, and deployment topologies.

 

Reporting Relationships:

Will report to a Manager, Technical Delivery or technical manager and has no direct reports. 

 

Working Conditions:

The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen.
