JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Contract Recruiter (6-month minimum) to support our fast-paced hiring needs across both technical and business functions. This role is designed for a true generalist who can seamlessly pivot between sourcing for Engineering (Software/Hardware) and Operations/Corporate (Finance, Marketing, People Ops, G&A). The ideal candidate has a proven track record in full-cycle recruiting, a deep curiosity for various business functions, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-growth environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with hiring managers across the organization to deeply understand requirements and develop targeted job descriptions and hiring strategies for both technical and non-technical roles.

  • Multi-Channel Sourcing: Source qualified candidates for diverse roles using various channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, industry-specific publications, and active networking within both tech and corporate communities.

  • Comprehensive Screening: Screen resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews, vetting candidates for technical depth in engineering or functional expertise in operational and corporate disciplines.

  • Pipeline Management: Manage candidate pipelines proactively, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a high-touch, "white glove" experience for all talent.

  • Data Integrity: Manage applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) data entry and compliance with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strategic Reporting: Provide regular, data-driven updates to hiring managers and the People team on recruiting activity, pipeline health, and market conditions across different job families.

  • Offer Negotiation: Assist with negotiating competitive offers and coordinating pre-employment processes to ensure high closing rates.

  • Market Intelligence: Maintain knowledge of industry trends across the broader tech and corporate landscapes to advise leadership on talent availability and compensation benchmarks.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Versatile Recruiting Success: Proven success in hiring across a wide range of departments, requiring creative sourcing solutions and the ability to learn new functional areas quickly.

  • Context-Switching Acumen: Strong ability to understand the nuances between different disciplines (e.g., the difference between a Backend Engineer and a Strategic Finance Manager).

  • Strategic Advisory: Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with stakeholders ranging from Engineering Leads to Executive Directors.

  • Proactive Sourcing: Strong interest and hands-on capability in building your own talent pipeline rather than relying solely on inbound applications.

  • Agility: Self-motivated, driven, and adaptable to changing business priorities and shifting headcount needs.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to "sell" the company vision to diverse candidate profiles.

  • Tech Stack: Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) and modern sourcing tools.

  • Values Alignment: Embodies the company values of Curiosity, Humility, Integrity, Passion, and Creativity (CHIPC).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a balanced track record of closing both Technical (Software/Hardware) and Operations/Corporate roles.

  • Experience in high-growth environments, such as a startup or a rapidly scaling mid-sized company.

  • Proven track record of closing roles across the seniority spectrum, from early-career individual contributors to senior leadership positions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
  • Hearing and speech to communicate
