About the department
Cloudflare's P2P department is housed within the Finance team, but our reach is global, supporting thousands of purchases across our global offices per quarter. We use an integrated platform for purchase-orders and approvals, and a contract management and collaboration tool for negotiated, signed contracts. We interact daily with stakeholders from Finance, Commercial Legal, Privacy, Security, and IT to get critical purchases over the line. The majority of our purchases involve technology and internet infrastructure, so we ensure we are familiar with industry trends and challenges faced by our internal customers. Our team is responsible for setting policies, defining new processes, reviewing & negotiating vendor agreements to ensure that the Procurement function aligns to Cloudflare's long-term strategic vision and goals. We are a small and growing team, presenting lots of opportunity for professional growth and visibility across multiple departments.
What you'll do
Cloudflare's Contracts Negotiator will support the end-to-end contracting process including contract negotiations, contract management, contract administration, and supplier relationship management functions across all business segments within Cloudflare. Because we are growing, applicants should anticipate that this role may evolve over time. This person will be the internal point of contact for key all contracting related activity within the procurement function. They will work closely with the Sourcing and Commercial Legal team.
Who You Are:
We are looking for business-driven, experienced contracts professionals who love KPIs, are strong collaborators, can manage vendor contracts, draft a redline, and bring relentless attention to detail. We are seeking an experienced procurement professional who can support the end-to-end process from planning to signature through post-signature contract reviews and vendor performance management. The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive problem solver, fearless, approachable, and adaptable. You enjoy contracts, seek out metrics to maximize value, exercise judgment and operate independently. The negotiator handles legal tasks and ensures contract processing with high professionalism under pressure.
Key Functions:
  • Contract Negotiation & Management - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of procurement agreements, including technology, security, and data privacy contracts, ensuring terms align with company policies and risk tolerance.
  • Risk & Legal Assessment - Identify and mitigate contractual, legal, and commercial risks through detailed review and collaboration with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.
  • Dispute Resolution - Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve contract-related issues efficiently and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Compliance & Governance - Ensure adherence to corporate policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements throughout the contracting process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Legal, Finance, Security, and business stakeholders to align contract strategies with organizational goals and operational needs.
  • Contract Lifecycle Oversight - Manage agreements from intake through execution, leveraging contract management tools and systems to drive efficiency and visibility across the lifecycle.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience managing commercial contracts within Procurement, Sourcing, or a Commercial Legal environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal experience preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS, cybersecurity, internet infrastructure, OEM suppliers, and marketing technology solutions is highly desirable.
  • Contracting Expertise: Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Legal & Regulatory Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial contract law, data security, and privacy regulations.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess risk, identify creative solutions, and provide sound business recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Organization & Adaptability: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Technology Proficiency: Experience with Ironclad, Zip, or similar CLM and intake management tools preferred.
