Job Description

Job Summary

Systematically manage all project-related contracts (with the client, engineering firms, vendors and construction subcontractors) to support successful project execution
Set up a project contract/claim response plan 
Manage and monitor risks associated with the contracts 
Coordination of contract/claim-related works 

Roles & Responsibility

  • Act as the prime source of contract management for the project and ensure the importance of documentation
  • Act as a single point of contact for all formal and legal correspondence relating to the Contract
  • Lead the coordination of contract management strategy with all project participants, including Project Manager, Project Control Manager, Engineering Manager, Legal Group, and the Contract Management Group
  • Lead the identification of contract variations, extensions of time, and associated compensation
  • Manage the procurement process, including supporting vendor claims and change orders
  • Lead the identification and management of risks, including sharing risk analysis and forecasting possible claims
  • Manage the construction management contract, including setting up standard formats for subcontractors and supporting subcontractor claims and contracts
  • Manage and lead arbitration and litigation, including supporting contract entitlement and backup data with the Legal Group
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Contract Engineers and Assistant Contract Engineers
  • Lead contract management policies, procedures, and processes
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Lead and report on contract performance and financial status, including preparing regular reports and analyses for senior management
  • Confirm project contract COB (Close-Out Binder)

Qualifications

Education    

 Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field                

Experience   

  • 12+ years of experience in in cost engineering or project controls.
  • Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants
  • Engineering & Construction Company working experience

Knowledge

  • Expert Knowledge of contract management methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants Construction issues and the cost/schedule/risk factors associated.
  • Working to basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Government laws on construction, tax, and insurances of the host country
  • Knowledge of international construction standards
  • Ability to deal with contractual qualifications efficiently and effectively

Skills Required
