In an operational environment with an involvement in complex contract structures, with high expectations from clients and with increasing regulatory restrictions from authorities, DEME is looking for a Contract Manager to strengthen its Contract Management Division.
As a Contract Manager, you will provide support on a project-related basis and from a contractual-technical perspective, in executing the contracts DEME has entered into with clients or main contractors and the subcontracts and supply agreements thereunder.Your responsibilities

You will be the go-to person for all contractual matters during the life of the project.

You will proactively monitor contractual rights and obligations under the contract and/or subcontract(s).

You will ensure that any contractual entitlements are timely and duly notified to the proper party in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and/or subcontract(s).

You will establish clear and direct communication lines with all internal and external stakeholders.

More specifically, you will provide support to the Project, to and under the direction of the Project Manager, which includes the following tasks and responsibilities: 1. Developing, drafting and implementing a contract management plan; 2. Contract compliance; 3. Subcontractor management; 4. Site-related communication; 5. Assistance to invoicing process; 6. Variation initiation and management; 7. Claims management; 8. Stakeholder management; 9. Document management.
Your profile

You have obtained a Master in Laws, Economics or Engineering.

You have 5 years’ experience in the field of contract management, preferably within the fields of expertise of DEME. Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC model contracts is considered essential.

You are fluent in English. Other languages such as Dutch, French, ... are considered an asset.

You have excellent analytical skills and written communication is one of your strong points.

You have a hands-on mentality and are very business minded.

You are a team player, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities.

You have strong communication and relational skills.

You are open-minded, flexible and stress resistant. You are prepared to work from our Project Offices in Lambersart - Lille and or on expatriate basis (with attractive work / leave schedule) on overseas project sites or in one of our regional offices abroad for extended periods of time .
