The Contract Administrator is responsible for reviewing, updating, analyzing and administering company related contracts. The Contract Administrator oversees the planning, administration, and revision of contracts to make sure all parties' needs are met.
General Responsibilities
• Prepare and design contracts, advising company on the details in the contracts
• Present and explain contract conditions and details to all relevant parties
• Negotiate contract terms, conditions and pricing and follow up to ensure execution according to the negotiated terms
• Update existing contracts when legal changes are made
• Create standardized language for new contracts
• Monitor all contract deadlines and conditions to ensure timelines are kept
• Analyze and report on specific risks associated with contract
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
This role requires interaction and communication with internal business partners, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and customers for new business opportunities and existing business. The ideal candidate would be a highly focused self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Experience / Qualifications
- Paralegal degree or certification and three to five (3-5) years of contracts experience
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Internal contract negotiation
- Corporate and governmental compliance
- DocuSign CLM and Salesforce experience
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and/or external customers
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive or technology contract experience preferred (e.g., liability, warranty, IP terms, exclusivity)
