The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities Water business is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our Queensland Unitywater Program. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is based in Maroochydore with occasional travel to Mango Hill and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of three days per week in the office and flexibility across home, office and site for the remaining days.
As a key member of the program team, you will provide professional contract administration and commercial support across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Finance teams, subcontractors and clients, you will help ensure effective contract management, accurate financial reporting, subcontractor compliance and timely delivery of contractual obligations.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and manage head contract and subcontractor progress claims, variations, contractual notices and supporting documentation.
- Support project forecasting, cost reporting, cashflow management and monthly governance reporting requirements.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, onboarding, contract administration and compliance activities.
- Maintain contract, variation, risk and project registers while ensuring contractual obligations and timeframes are met.
- Partner with Project Managers and the Commercial Manager to provide commercial guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator who enjoys building relationships and supporting successful project delivery.
You will bring:
- Experience in contract administration, commercial administration or project administration within construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
- Knowledge of contract management, progress claims, variations, subcontractor administration and project cost controls.
- Strong financial acumen with experience supporting forecasting, reporting and payment processes.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, together with strong document management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
