The Position
The Controller is expected to manage and be the main contact to multiple existing or new client relationships, ensure appropriate and efficient staffing of external clients, and build new client relationships through networking, referrals, and target marketing efforts. The Controller will direct budget and cost controls, analyze and interpret financial data, recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance, work with other controllers on adoption and rollout of best practices and work with direct reports to deliver top of the line service. The Controller is responsible for staffing and delegation decisions to ensure the most efficient use of client funds.

  • Preparation and submission of grant information

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or Related Field. Plus 5-7 years' experience leading client contracts.
Preferred Skills
Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field. CPA Certification. MST Certification. Previous experience leading a team of 3+ direct reports.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Content switching between multiple clients. The ability to delegate direct reports. The ability to call and video conference clients throughout the day. The ability to have tough conversations with direct reports and clients. This position has supervision and training aspects and may require tough conversations with other employees’ progress. This position will oversee hiring and termination decisions.
Schedule, Flexibility, and Travel

  • Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours. Flexibility is needed based on client needs.
  • This is a Hybrid position. Days in the office depend on the client and company's needs.
  • This position requires consistent travel to clients throughout the month predominately in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting at $85,000, Negotiable based on experience.
