Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also manages technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Job Summary:
The Content Insertion Lead is a supervising role responsible for organizing and overseeing the department’s daily operational tasks and personnel. CI Leads test all streaming events to ensure proper functionality and are available to support and escalate issues from the moment an event begins until it is finalized. A CI Lead must communicate with other supporting departments to coordinate routine tasks and troubleshoot issues, while continuing to monitor all events under their purview.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Setting up and maintaining daily operation sheets and trackers.
- Confirming operator setups and supervising for the duration of their events.
- Operating events without active slating requirements, as needed.
- Coordinating with other departments for routine troubleshooting and unexpected issues or schedule changes.
- Other tasks as needed to successfully fulfill the role.
Basic Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as operator or similar role in live streaming operations.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays, including evenings and overnight.
- Must have fast internet and a quiet environment to work in.
- Basic computer proficiency including common word processors, spreadsheets, and communication applications such as Microsoft Teams and email.
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new tasks quickly and solve problems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize actions in a fast-paced, hectic production environment.
- Familiarity with major sports and the ability to pick up new sports and other live event structures on the fly.
- Familiarity with some of the company’s live streaming platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervising role.
- Familiarity with some video editing software.
- Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Mac OS and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a live production environment.
