We currently have a vacancy for a Content & Documentation Manager fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Tasks:
- Provide expert advice on defining policies and strategies for content, records, archives and information management, including capture, selection, retention and digital preservation;
- Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of records, archives and information management systems and to the technical implementation of new or adapted policies;
- Elaborate system integration and data migration approaches for legacy repositories;
- Develop and maintain solutions for long-term digital preservation and archiving in accordance with the applicable legal framework, including support of encryption, digital signatures, confidentiality, secure access to documents and data protection;
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of metadata standards for content and records management, including archival description.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Practical experience in information management, ontology design, metadata management, open data technologies, document encryption, digital signature, full-text search techniques and semantic web;
- Experience in configuring, customising and operating document management information systems such as ARES, CIRCABC or others;
- Knowledge of standards and best practices in the domain of records, archives and information management, digital preservation and public access to documents;
- Excellent command of the English and French language.
