The Role

The Role

We are looking for a creative Content Lead to become the owner and guardian of Speechmatics content output, creating a unique and distinct voice in the crowded world of AI. With a strong creative flair, you’ll drive Speechmatics’ content across our channels, from website copy, blogs and press releases through to video scripts, campaign and social copy. You’ll be taking technical topics and bringing them to life through storytelling that leans on the skills, knowledge and experience of our team and the strength of our technology. You’ll build strong relationship across the company, as well as our customers and partners, to produce a variety of content types to support commercial and brand objectives. You’ll be adept at creating engaging copy, from the micro, performance based ad and website copy, to longer form thought leadership and blogs. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the execution of a multi-threaded content strategy to build awareness of Speechmatics, our product, brand and ultimately to convert prospects into customers. This includes owned media on our website, blogs, articles, thought leadership, social posts and ad copy.
  • Be ready to move quickly and respond to external announcements and events, as well as social engagement across our channels.
  • Work with internal teams across departments to help bring new stories, insights and content to life in the most compelling style and medium possible.
  • Create and pitch compelling stories to influencers & media to secure exposure of our tech & narratives, as well as entering Speechmatics for any suitable awards.
  • Plan and execute joint announcements with partners, ensuring alignment and consistency.
  • Develop public profiles of our leaders and secure speaking opportunities at industry events.
  • Adapting campaign creatives and product marketing messaging into a wide range of content – this includes creating ad and website copy, supporting the demand generation team.
  • Make Speechmatics a distinct and compelling voice within the busy AI space, ensuring we are known for our mission, values, brand pillars and product strengths. 

Who we are looking for:

  • Content experience, ideally within a start or scale up, where you’ll have had a hand in all form of content production – from report and blog writing, to microcopy written for websites and ads.
  • A track record of taking a central theme or narrative around a feature, product or brand, and adapting this to suit various mediums, platforms, content styles and lengths.
  • A gifted storytelleryou’ll be adept at crafting readable, engaging content of any length and in any medium. You’ll always be looking for engaging ways to build narratives around our company, product, customers and partners.
  • A superb copywriter – you will be able to express your ideas clearly and compellingly, be that in 5 words or 1000.
  • Proven ability to pitch compelling stories to secure influencer engagement, podcast appearances and media coverage, and maintain those relationships over time.
  • Experience in planning and executing joint partner announcements, working collaboratively with our partner's marketing teams
  • Capable of developing executive profiles and securing speaking opportunities
