Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will be instrumental in driving Morgan Stanley Private Markets and EquityZen’s content strategy from planning to execution and analysis. Your core responsibility is to build and execute both the near-term content strategy—including developing original content based on insights from EquityZen’s proprietary private market data. These will come to life in short-form and long-form content pieces for social media, blog and video that aligns with EquityZen’s goals and brand—and the long-term strategy, with a focus on optimizing for SEO, brand awareness and engagement. You will develop, write, and edit content that maintains a consistent brand voice across key strategic areas, including educational, thought leadership, and market-driven content. Furthermore, you will project manage cross-team content creation initiatives with both EquityZen and Morgan Stanley to ensure quality and on-time delivery.  

 

The role involves writing compelling content as well as managing the full content publishing process: obtaining compliance approval, selecting creative assets, and distribution across all channels (website, social media, PR, and email). Finally, you will perform content performance analysis, tracking metrics like views and clicks, to refine the overall strategy and stay up to date with industry trends and content formats to drive best-in-class content within budget constraints. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

  • Build and execute on near-term content strategy, including developing a content calendar for EquityZen’s social media, video and blog that aligns with EquityZen’s goals and brand   

  • Develop, write, and edit content that maintains a consistent brand voice across strategic focus areas: educational, thought leadership, and market driven content 

  • Project manage cross-team content creation initiatives (e.g. with EZ and Morgan Stanley) to ensure quality, on-time content delivery 

  • Content publishing: manage compliance approval, creative selection, and distribution across channels including website, social media, PR, email 

  • Perform content performance analysis to refine strategy (views, clicks, etc.) 

  • Build long-term content strategy, optimizing for SEO, awareness and engagement 

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, content formats to drive best-in-class content, taking into account budget constraints 

 

THE RIGHT STUFF 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field 

  • 4-5+ years’ experience working in content strategy, market intelligence or communications, ideally for financial services, fintech or other regulated industriesStrategic mindset; able to distill content opportunities to their essence and craft compelling articles and storylines 

  • Familiarity with using SEO and AEO (AI Engine Optimization) to build content that is compelling and answers the questions of our target audiences.  

  • Data-driven mentality with the ability to analyze and report on market trends, insights and opportunities  

  • Demonstrated ability as a writer and a user of AI to improve writing and content creation

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
