About the Role:

The Strategic Content Development Team at Wiley is offering a Coordinator, Strategic Content Development position based in Noida, India. The Coordinator, Strategic Content Development provides reporting, coordination, administrative, and analytical support to the Strategic Content Development (SCD) team, a group of Content Acquisition Specialists, Content Development Specialists, and Editor Experience Specialists, contributing to the overall achievement of content growth and editor lifecycle objectives. The ideal candidate will be professional, motivated, and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and communication skills and an interest in improving workflows and processes to advance business objectives.

How will you make an impact: 

Reporting and Data Analysis 

  • Prepare SCA monthly/quarterly/annual performance reports and ad hoc data analysis reports 
  • Generate and distribute monthly communications and deadline reminders to team members 
  • Identify journals with active SI programs but without updated submissions/acceptances in the current quarter and follow up with SCA leads 
  • Configure and organize SI submission reports, with special attention to journals without a PRP Lead 
  • Maintain data quality in Curate and other relevant systems, and communicate data requirements to team members 
  • Track and report on cross-journal collections  

Team Coordination and Administration 

  • Arrange team meetings, training sessions for new hires, and team-building sessions  
  • Coordinate and support transfers, contact updates, and system access requests for team members   
  • Update and maintain the SCA Teams channel and SharePoint sites 
  • Update the team organizational chart and track engagement activities 

Project Management Support 

  • Support Project Leads in tracking project timelines, updating project status, and uploading project deliverables 
  • Assist with project coordination, including tracking active projects and time allocation 
  • Monitor workflows and processes and suggest improvements to increase team efficiency 

SI Management, Content Commissioning, and Editor Recruitment Support 

  • Provide support to Content Acquisition/Development Specialists and Managers, as well as Editor Experience Managers, to expedite processes and deliver designated outcomes. 
  • Conduct analyses of published SI performance at the subject and portfolio levels 
  • Support editor recruitment through data analysis and candidate identification.
  • Follow up with relevant internal teams on routine tasks 
  • Provide interim cover for Content Acquisition/Development Specialists and Managers on tasks such as launching SIs, preparing author lists, and updating SI numbers.  
  • Collaborate with Editor Experience Managers to ensure the effectiveness of services across editor recruitment activities.

  • At least a bachelor’s degree; candidates must be computer-literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Good data analysis skills; proficiency in advanced Excel is preferred  
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to work within and support a busy team 
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills are essential, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously 
  • Previous experience in a publishing or administrative position is preferred but not necessary 
  • Aptitude for learning in-house company systems and AI tools, and understanding of office procedures 
  • A professional, mature, and decisive approach 
  • The ability to work under pressure with a strong focus on team support, both individually and as part of a team 
  • Excellent communication skills in a global environment
