As part of the Disney Experiences Intelligence (DXi) Segment Intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to influence, inform and shape strategy development and the consumer experience. You will leverage research, analytics, and integrated insights to represent the voice of the consumer and inform strategic decisions. It is through this role’s deep understanding of consumer needs, pain points and opportunities that we can optimize products and experiences and deliver meaningful change to all relevant audiences.
This role supports the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Team, where the focus is on identifying commercial opportunities and providing thoughtful guidance for long-term planning strategy. This work centers on strengthening operational performance while also enhancing the overall Guest experience across the Resorts, with the broader goal of building lasting consumer loyalty and supporting sustainable profitability. The role requires synthesizing complex data and research into clear, actionable recommendations that help partners answer critical business questions and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
This role reports to a Manager of DXi Segment Intelligence, is in Celebration, Florida and requires regular in-person availability with the option to work remotely on Fridays.Responsibilities
The DXi Segment Intelligence Senior Analyst will lead all phases of the market research process, from identifying business needs and designing research to analyzing results and delivering clear, objective, and actionable insights. This role will translate complex information into compelling stories and recommendations that inform business strategy and influence decision-making.
Lead Research and Analytics Projects: Evaluate complex data, test hypotheses, identify meaningful patterns, and develop fact-based conclusions that address key business questions.
Generate and Integrate insights: Synthesize findings from multiple research methods and information sources to provide holistic perspectives and actionable strategic recommendations.
Influence Business Decisions through Storytelling and Recommendations: Transform research findings into clear, compelling reports and presentations that engage stakeholders, advocate for the consumer, and inspire business actions.
Build Relationships and Lead Workstreams: Serve as a trusted thought partner to Resorts by identifying opportunities, evaluating business challenges, and providing consumer-driven recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, business analytics, survey/polling statistics or a related analytical field.
Expertise in quantitative research, data analysis, insight generation and survey design.
Experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SPSS).
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, business recommendations
Understanding of business performance metrics and drivers that impact the business.
Ability to build collaborative partnerships and represent DXi as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Single Point of Contact (SPOC) but also work independently with little supervision.
Familiarity with qualitative research methodologies (e.g., IDIs, focus groups, intercepts, etc.).
Strong critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, problem solving, and attention to detail with high accuracy.
Adaptable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities at the same time by being flexible and nimble.
Proven ability with creative data visualization, storytelling, presentation, and communication skills to influence stakeholders to act.
Open to using AI or Copilot as a tool for analysis and tracking results to determine success with the tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the theme park, hospitality or entertainment industries
Familiarity with survey data and various research methodologies (ex: Conjoint / Discrete Choice Analysis, Max Diff, etc.)
Experience in Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience in project management and leading cross-functional workstreams and teams
Presentation skills and comfortable sharing a point of view that advocates for consumers
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in an analytical field of study
