What will you be doing?
As Consulting Solutions Architect (CSA) you will support our key Enterprise customers across Singapore and APAC and the account teams, working as the technical representative for WWT service offerings in these Enterprise accounts. Working in conjunction with the Sales and Business Development team members, you will work with our customers to determine their business and technical requirements and then scope, price, and sell solutions that best address them — ensuring they receive tailored solutions that meet and exceed their requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Create and document a Client Architecture Plan that outlines key areas for discovery in a templated and programmatic manner, for a subset of WWT's customers, and update this plan quarterly.
- Work closely with clients and the WWT Sales team to gain a profound understanding of customer technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into tailored WWT opportunities and IT solutions.
- Engage in technical pre-sales engineering — leverage your technical expertise to understand client challenges and position solutions that not only meet but surpass customer requirements across a range of technologies.
- Work with Enterprise customers, WWT extended team resources, and OEM partners to develop solutions around those priorities, challenges, and initiatives.
- Take responsibility for the development and quality of pre-sales technology solution deliverables within the domain of sales opportunities, including technical proposals, architectural diagrams, and service scopes.
- Actively participate in requirements and scoping workshops with customers, delivery partners, and Sales.
- Work with pre-sales Client Executives to establish and deploy solutions to meet changing customer needs and demands; support the business case development of new services to supply leadership with profitability and TCO analysis.
- Coordinate solution development by leveraging best practices and researching customized solutions.
- Partner with WWT internal resources to create statements of work, respond to RFPs, identify contracting opportunities, and develop customer pricing.
- Assist with performing technical screenings of contractors and PS engineers for specific engagements to ensure the right candidates are assigned to projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor for the Engineering team, offering guidance on architecture and leading other consultants on solutions and optimization services.
- Provide consultative support for enterprise solutions, covering a spectrum of technologies.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with strategic OEMs and key services partners local to your region and territory, as well as with customer technical management and teams.
- Ensure effective coordination and support between account teams and post-sale technical resources.
- Ensure that proposed solutions, when implemented, meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer; this can include assisting project managers with technical project management for our more complex projects.
- Identify services opportunities and work with the team to propose solutions and engagements across the WWT portfolio.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 10-15 years of industry experience in client-side senior roles, technology integrators, or manufacturers, with architectural and technical experience across applications, infrastructure, cyber, cloud, networking, data center, and end user experience solutions.
- Deep skills and knowledge as a subject matter expert in two or more critical parts of infrastructure.
- Ideally, strong application development technology and application architecture history, with an understanding of current trends and migration strategies.
- Industry-level certifications including CCDE, CCIE, CISSP, CDP, MCSE, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Experience consulting with Fortune 500 IT leadership on the deployment of technology solutions, ideally in a sales environment.
- Ideally, experience working with clients on digital transformation and operating model design and deployment.
- Architectural training and/or experience in common methodologies including TOGAF, UAM, etc.
- Familiarity with Big Data, AI, automation, end user experience, and service management technologies, along with cloud technologies including containers, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, storage, networking, and commercial models at a high level.
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and presentation skills, with an understanding of the business impact of technology decisions.
- Ability to align customer priorities with WWT extended teams.
- Motivated to win in selling situations by solving client issues.
- Passion for learning, with a focus on constant expansion of technical knowledge.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) — Required.
