About the Team
Our teams are structured in collaborative squads, including a Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Development Lead, Developers, and Testers. This approach encourages connectivity, teamwork, and efficient delivery by focusing our collective strengths on shared goals. The Data Engineering Squad is responsible for developing the Brightmine Data Platform, and you’ll be joining a supportive group dedicated to continuous learning and shared success.
About the Role
In this role, you will design, build, and operate highly reliable and scalable infrastructure and observability systems across cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance application performance, reliability, and security while driving automation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
- Lead incident response activities including detection, mitigation, and resolution
- Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient delivery
- Optimize application and infrastructure performance and ensure high availability
- Develop automation tools and scripts to reduce manual operations
- Implement security best practices and monitor for vulnerabilities
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud networking services
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub) and version control systems (Git)
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix systems administration
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Understanding of performance tuning, security best practices, and migration strategies
