The Consulting Marketing Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans for RSM’s Consulting Services Line-of-business. You will serve as a strategic leader and part of the Consulting Marketing Leadership team.  Responsibilities will include overseeing market definition, planning, strategy, brand management, and marketing/sales integration. Key qualifications include strategic thinking, experience in growth strategies, and strong team management skills.

Essential Duties:

  • Understand the business strategy and growth objectives of RSM’s Consulting Services business.
  • Guide teams in the development of marketing strategies that support business growth and align to key market opportunities as defined by the business strategy.
  • Seen as a strategic advisor and leader across all Industries/Service Lines that they cover.
  • Sets clear expectations related to the level of marketing enablement that will be provided to the business and their practices.
  • Team coach and Manager, coaches team and champions them, operates through delegation, works with leadership on succession and growth plans for the team and ensures a fair and balanced workload across the team.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Degree in Marketing or related discipline (preferred)

REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB

  • Deep understanding of various competencies related to the marketing of consulting services. 
  • Understanding of the needs of key audiences within the firm’s target marketing, including CFO’s and CEOs.
  • Understanding of key industries that are core target markets of the firm.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10 years marketing experience (in a large professional services or similar organization) with proven abilities to collect, synthesize and manage market/client data, and develop and implement direct marketing, advertising, PR, social media, branding and internet marketing initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing others in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Must exhibit an exceptional client service attitude, possess outstanding people skills and take a proactive approach in working with employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate, and deliver tough prescriptive messages.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $158,600 - $281,600

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
