The Consulting Manager specializing in Technical Project Management position is a client-facing delivery role. The position is responsible for planning and management of mid-size to large, multi-faceted projects and/or multiple small projects simultaneously, with an emphasis on technology delivery and implementation, including but not limited to: software development, software or system implementation, data warehousing, technology integration, and automation. The position will work with clients and project leadership on the planning, execution, and closeout of client technology initiatives while providing technical project management expertise and driving best practices. The position will, at times, be responsible for the management of the client engagement team, including providing direction, conducting performance evaluation, and regularly seeking and acting on client feedback. The position will support the development and growth of the Project Management Advisory service offering through strategic initiatives and team mentorship.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
-
Leads, directs and manages projects and multi-disciplinary tasks within scope of program or project to support project teams.

Performs assessments of business needs and assists developers to translate these needs into project requirements.

Tracks and confirms business system development and implementation efforts.
-
Creates and distributes regular reports on project progress, blockers, milestones, and resource needs. Helps identify and clear impediments for project teams.

Communicates effectively and consistently with all project stakeholders. Promotes transparency at all times regarding project status, issues and risks to stakeholders.

Communicates and works with the client on a variety of issues potentially including progress and status, scope, schedule and budget, engagement team feedback, as well as progress of deliverables, client reviews, technical input, and comment resolution. Reports to EisnerAmper Advisory leadership regarding status of client engagements, including all risks, issues, and opportunities.

Exhibits excellent client service skills including the identification of opportunities to provide additional services to clients and/or non-clients. Supports business development activities including client relationship development, program-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes.

Builds and maintains a growth pipeline, gather referrals, and maintain extensive knowledge on the firm’s service lines and offerings, as well as market conditions and penetration of services and solutions.

Serves as one of the Firm’s primary contacts with clients.

Serves as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments. Ensures internal customers are kept informed of development issues.

Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities within a project.

Works with other leadership to define project scope and deliver a detailed plan for a successful outcome based on project objectives. Estimates effort and resources required for responsibilities and ensures all are prioritized effectively and delivered on time.

Ensures project documents and plans are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Attends process improvement meetings to: identify people, process and technology improvements to improve team and project performance. Builds and maintains trusted relationships with diverse group of clients, team members, managers, and subject matter experts.

Participates in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies, and manual testing support tools.
-
Ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and keeps current on compliance-related areas as required.

Prepares deliverables/reports for review by team leadership that include any noted issues, trends and other micro/macro level risks identified through the execution of projects activities.

Performs and/or oversees functionality testing of new applications and existing software enhancements to ensure they meet business requirements through performing end to end business scenario tests.

Performs and/or oversees regression testing of new applications and existing software enhancements to identify any possible impacts caused by changes.

Verifies and traces evidence of reproduction of any reported faults in existing software.

Ongoing mentoring of team, performing assessment and completion of performance appraisals, promotion recommendations, on-the-job training, and professional development.

Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.

Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance (e.g., procedure optimization). Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.

Performs other services as assigned.

Participates in Firm recruiting activities.

Complies with the professional and Firm requirements (e.g., employee handbook requirements, time entry procedures), quality control document requirement, confidentiality requirements related to client, proposal, personnel, and job-related information.

Attends and actively engages in training sessions and/or meetings as required.

Maintains the required CPE for firm and licensing standards.
-
May be required to work extended hours during the workweek and weekends, as needed.

May be required to travel and work from different company and client locations.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree is required, concentration in business, management, computer science, or information systems, preferred.

Proficiency in Scrum or other Agile methodologies
-
5+ years of experience to direct project life cycle in large Program and/or Project experience in technology delivery, including one or more of the following:
-
Development
-
Business Analysis
-
Release Management
-
Testing
-
-
3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
-
5+ years of consulting and/or client service and business development experience
-
2+ years in a management or supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree preferred
-
Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
-
Other related professional certifications related to the field of Project Management will be considered. (Certified Project Manager (CPM), Advanced Project Manager Certification (APMC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM))
-
Retail, eCommerce, healthcare, data warehousing, data visualization or application development experience preferred.
-
Technical proficiency capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-
Possess an in-depth understanding of Agile, its values and principles, including backlog grooming, release and sprint planning, Agile status reporting, and more.
-
Experienced in Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
-
Able to effectively manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames.

Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Able to lead, build, and manage effective teams for small, medium, and large-scale projects.
-
Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in business and technical environments and within a diverse group of individuals.

Possess a high degree of professionalism including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
