Your Impact
As a Consulting Engineer, you will lead the delivery of advanced, multi-area solutions across SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing & Switching, acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers. This role is exciting because you'll own complex engagements end-to-end, shape architectural direction for major enterprises, and drive innovation by integrating AI and automation into how Cisco delivers services — all while expanding your influence across teams and across the theatre.
- Support the design, deployment, migration, and optimization of complex SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing & Switching solutions for strategic customers.
- Serve as the focal point for technical issues, including product/software vulnerabilities, escalations, and case resolution in partnership with TAC.
- Engage in customer solution discussions — connecting proposed solutions to business priorities.
- Create customer-facing documentation, migration plans, and implementation plans aligned to CX standards; build complex test environments to validate designs.
- Leverage Cisco AI and automation tools to drive delivery efficiency, contribute reusable intellectual capital, and mentor early-career engineers on the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's + 5 years, Master's + 3 years of related experience, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Active CCNP certification (Enterprise track preferred).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying Cisco enterprise networks (Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, or SD-Access or Nexus DC).
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following: Cisco SD-Access or Cisco SD-WAN/Meraki or Nexus Data Centre Technology.
- Working knowledge of automation and programmability (Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading customer-facing engagements, change windows, and complex migrations independently.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong consultative skills — able to negotiate, frame trade-offs, and act as a trusted advisor to technical buyers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Mentorship mindset and a passion for driving AI/automation adoption across the team.
