Your Impact 

As a Consulting Engineer, you will support the design and deployment of robust Service Provider solutions that drive key business outcomes, acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers. This role is exciting because you'll own complex engagements end-to-end, shape architectural direction for major enterprises, and drive innovation by integrating AI and automation into how Cisco delivers services — all while expanding your influence across teams.

  • Lead the execution of design, deployment, migration, and optimization of robust service provider for strategic customers.

  • Create customer-facing documentation, migration plans, and implementation plans aligned to CX standards; build complex test environments to validate designs.

  • Engage in customer solution discussions — connecting proposed solutions to business priorities

Minimum Qualifications:   

  • Requires BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a similar job role.

  • Any Service Provider related certification (CCNA, CCNP - DevOps) is helpful and you have a drive for continuous learning.

  • Expertise in handling Network Management (NMS) tools/applications

  • Advanced understanding/Experience with SQL databases and Postgres SQL

  • Knowledge of software programmability, automation (Python, YAML, JSON, GitHub, Ansible, Terraform and so on), orchestration, and/or virtualization technologies.

  • Advance level of Linux/Unix OS administration & troubleshooting

  • Understanding of Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes);

  • Network Automation & Controllers: Crosswork, Cisco NSO and PCA

  • Knowledge and hands-on of Agentic AI Tools development and Industry Models

  • Knowledge on NCS540, NCS560, ASR9k NCS55xx and Cisco 8k platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of relevant Cisco technologies and delivery methods and builds skills in articulating technical concepts.

  • Foundational consulting and collaboration skills 

  • Leverages AI and automation to enhance delivery efficiency, innovation and customer outcomes, while also increasing personal productivity and focus on high-impact work

Skills Required

  • BS, BE, BTech degree, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar job role
