Position Summary
The Survey Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, functionality, and compliance of market research surveys before and during fielding. This role performs systematic testing of survey instruments, validates survey logic and respondent experience, identifies defects, and works closely with project managers, survey programmers, panel operations, and client teams to ensure surveys meet quality standards and project timelines. This role is part of a larger overall team focused on delivering quality data collection by leveraging a global team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Survey Testing & Validation
- Review survey specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of programmed surveys before launch.
- Validate survey logic, routing, skip patterns, quotas, randomization, and termination criteria.
- Verify survey functionality across supported devices and browsers.
- Test multilingual surveys for consistency and accuracy.
- Partner with fieldwork teams to load and update key survey attributes during fielding
Quality Assurance
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Ensure survey content aligns with client specifications and approved materials.
- Validate survey calculations, piping, branching, and data capture.
- Confirm quality standards are met prior to survey release.
Fieldwork Monitoring
- Monitor surveys during fielding for quality-related issues.
- Investigate respondent complaints and data quality concerns.
- Escalate critical issues impacting survey performance or respondent experience.
- Coordinate corrective actions with programming and operations teams.
Data Quality Support
- Review survey data for inconsistencies and anomalies.
- Recommend quality controls to improve survey data integrity.
- Collaborate with programming, research and fieldwork teams to improve survey performance on multi-wave projects.
Continuous Improvement
- Explore and develop AI based QA tools to daily workflow
- Participate in root cause analysis
- Support automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing Research, Statistics, Information Systems, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Experience in survey programming, market research operations, quality assurance, or related fields.
- Experience with online survey platforms and survey testing methodologies preferred.
- Familiarity with market research processes and respondent management.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Confirmit or Decipher survey platforms
- Ability to review and interpret survey specifications and requirements.
- Knowledge of data validation and quality control techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Experience with SQL Server, Cursor a plus
- Advanced level of english
