The initial focus of this role will be strengthening the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), including data quality, governance, integrations, CSDM alignment, and service-aware mappings. What you will be doing

• Lead the maturation of ServiceNow CMDB capabilities, including configuration item data quality, class and relationship modeling, lifecycle governance, reconciliation, normalization, and alignment to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).

• Partner with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to improve discovery, service mapping, integrations, and dependency data that support incident, change, asset, risk, and operational processes.

• Provide tool-agnostic expertise across IT process domains, including IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, and IT Asset Management

• Contribute to the ServiceNow platform roadmap by identifying practical opportunities to improve governance, automation, usability, maintainability, compliance, and return on investment.

• Design, configure, test, and enhance ServiceNow solutions that improve service quality, security, compliance, speed, and operational efficiency.

• Mature development, testing, release, documentation, and support practices for the ServiceNow platform, including clear handoffs to operational support teams.

• Translate business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions by engaging stakeholders, clarifying requirements, documenting user stories, and recommending fit-for-purpose approaches.

• Support platform security and compliance by applying appropriate access controls, secure configuration practices, auditability, and data protection considerations.

• Lead and coordinate third-party solution providers, ensuring deliverables are clearly defined, aligned to Vantive standards, and completed with appropriate quality and accountability.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, business, or a related field required.

• 7+ years of experience in technology, engineering, IT operations, or related roles, including hands-on experience administering, configuring, or implementing the ServiceNow platform.

• Strong ServiceNow CMDB experience, including CI class structures, relationship modeling, data quality, governance, reconciliation, normalization, and lifecycle processes.

• Experience with CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, MID Servers, integrations, or ITOM capabilities strongly preferred.

• Ability to learn and apply broader ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, HRSD, reporting, workflow automation, and platform governance.

• Experience delivering solutions in a highly regulated, global business environment.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business, technology, security, and vendor teams while holding service providers accountable for delivery.

• Strong analytical, technical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to diagnose complex platform, process, data, and integration issues.

• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to broaden skills across ServiceNow technologies and connected enterprise platforms.

• Previous large transformation, separation, merger, or platform modernization program experience desired.

• Experience mentoring platform engineers, administrators, analysts, or vendor resources desired.

• ServiceNow certifications desired, especially Certified System Administrator, CIS-CMDB, CIS-Discovery, CIS-Service Mapping, ITSM, ITOM, or related certifications.
