We're looking for someone who understands the JEE/NEET coaching ecosystem from the inside, not just as a subject expert, but as someone who has lived the process or led others through it and who can translate that understanding into a program that works at scale in a government system.
- Government & Institutional Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as Bhumi's primary point of coordination with HMs, DEOs, and coaching partners. Build and sustain relationships that keep the program credible.
- JEE/NEET Program Design & Academic Oversight: Design and refine the coaching/academic support model for the program content structure, pacing, and mentor inputs, drawing on direct or lived experience of JEE/NEET preparation to keep the model realistic and effective for government-school students.
- Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring: Track student performance, attendance, and coaching outcomes across schools. Build simple, usable dashboards/reports that will help see what's working and course-correct quickly.
- Coaching Quality Assurance & Capacity Building: Monitor the quality of coaching delivery across partner schools/institutions. Work with mentors, teachers, or coaching staff to close gaps and maintain consistency across sites.
- Reporting & Cross-Team Coordination: Prepare periodic updates for leadership.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a JEE/NEET tutor, mentor, or academic coordinator with a coaching institute or similar program, OR
- Prior experience designing, managing, or leading a JEE/NEET coaching/preparation program (even without personal exam experience).
- A strong working understanding of the JEE/NEET syllabus, exam pattern, and preparation ecosystem is essential regardless of which pathway applies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, ideally with exposure to government or institutional environments.
- Comfort working with data, building trackers, reading performance trends, translating numbers into decisions (Excel/Sheets fluency expected).
Other requirements
- Based in Chennai; willing to work out of the DPI office as the primary base, with travel to partner schools.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, early-stage program.
Other Information:

- Reporting to: Assistant Manager, Schools of Excellence
- Remuneration: Rs. 4,50,000 - 6,00,000, negotiable based on the candidate’s profile
- Expected Joining Date: Immediate

Career Opportunities
- Direct, hands-on exposure to the social and education sectors — rare access to how government school systems actually function, from policy to classroom.
- Opportunity to work closely with government stakeholders — build institutional and public-sector experience not easily available elsewhere.
- Strong platform for Letters of Recommendation (LoRs) for higher education (public policy, education, development studies) given the scale and visibility of the role.
- High autonomy and ownership in an early-stage, high-impact program — the kind of end-to-end program-building experience typically reserved for much more senior roles.
- Meaningful, measurable social impact — see your work translate into student outcomes on JEE/NEET, one of India's most competitive and consequential exams.
- Exposure to data-driven program management — build and own dashboards/trackers that directly inform decision-making.
- Networking with coaching partners, education administrators, and cross-sector stakeholders in Tamil Nadu's education ecosystem.
