We're looking for a Consultant – Strategy & Transformation Portfolio to help drive the COO Finance (COOF) strategy and transformation agenda. Role Summary

As a Consultant within COMET Strategy & Transformation, you will help translate strategic priorities into clear roadmaps, governed execution, and measurable outcomes. You will play a key role in portfolio management across COOF Super Circles, ensuring transparency, delivery oversight, and high-quality insights that support decision-making.

You will work with leaders and teams across business, technology, and operations to drive alignment, manage dependencies, and support successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

About the Team

You will join COMET Strategy & Transformation, a global team that supports the COO Finance strategy and change agenda. The team works closely with colleagues across Amsterdam, Manila, and other ING locations to improve ways of working, strengthen portfolio governance, and help ING continue its journey toward becoming one global digital bank.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Support end-to-end portfolio management for Super Circle initiatives.
  • Create portfolio transparency through reporting, analysis, and decision-ready insights.
  • Track risks, dependencies, milestones, and delivery progress across initiatives.
  • Facilitate alignment across Super Circles, Tribes, countries, and central functions.
  • Support governance processes and improve portfolio management practices.
  • Lead or support transformation initiatives, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop management materials, reports, and presentations that enable informed decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in consulting, change management, portfolio management, or business transformation.
  • Experience working in banking or another regulated industry is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio management and governance capabilities.
  • Ability to connect strategy, operating models, and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with the ability to create compelling management materials.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
