Black Pearl is recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare provider in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Provide advanced medical and surgical ENT care for children, including complex airway, otology, sleep and congenital disorders. The successful physician will combine excellent clinical judgment with compassionate communication, multidisciplinary teamwork and a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

·        Assess and manage pediatric airway, ear, hearing, sleep-disordered breathing, sinus, swallowing and congenital head-and-neck conditions.

·        Perform pediatric ENT procedures within approved privileges, including complex airway and otologic work where competent.

·        Provide emergency consultation and consultant on-call coverage.

·        Collaborate with pulmonology, audiology, speech and language therapy, anesthesia, intensive care and surgical specialties.

·        Maintain surgical outcomes and contribute to multidisciplinary clinics, audit, teaching, research and service development.

·        Provide safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered consultant care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and approved clinical privileges.

·        Supervise junior medical staff, support multidisciplinary decision-making and promote effective communication with patients and families.

·        Participate in clinical governance, incident review, quality improvement, credentialing, continuing professional development and departmental education.

·        Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention, medication safety, privacy and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

Education and specialist qualifications

·        Medical degree, recognized Otolaryngology/ENT specialty qualification, and accredited Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship or substantial formal pediatric ENT training.

·        The exact specialty and subspecialty award must be recognized under the current UAE Professional Qualification Requirements and support the requested Consultant title.

·        Completion of internship and active, unrestricted professional registration/licensure in the current or most recent country of practice.

Experience and licensing

·        Tier 1 qualification and DOH Consultant-level experience with substantial recent pediatric ENT surgical practice.

·        Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Department of Health – Abu Dhabi Consultant licence for the applicable base specialty/title.

·        Applicants must demonstrate recent clinical activity, competence within the advertised scope and no unresolved licensing, credentialing or professional-standing concerns.

·        For Tier 1 vacancies, the exact Tier 1 award is mandatory. As a general screening guide, the Consultant route normally requires at least two years after the main specialty award or one year after a recognized subspecialty award, subject to DOH assessment.

Role-specific requirements

·        Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.

·        Detailed pediatric airway and surgical logbook.

·        Complex airway, otology, sleep and congenital neck experience is strongly preferred.

Professional capabilities

·        Excellent diagnostic, procedural and clinical decision-making skills appropriate to Consultant practice.

·        Strong communication and counseling skills with patients, families and multicultural clinical teams.

·        Ability to supervise, teach and support physicians and other healthcare professionals.

·        Commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical conduct, clinical governance and continuous improvement.

·        Ability to work effectively in an acute healthcare environment and participate in on-call services where required.

Documents required with the application

·        Updated, detailed CV showing month/year dates, hospital, country, job title, specialty scope and any career gaps.

·        Valid passport copy and recent professional photograph.

·        Primary medical degree, internship certificate, main specialty board/certificate and relevant subspecialty fellowship/board.

·        Current and previous medical licences/registrations and a recent Good Standing Certificate.

·        Employer experience certificates confirming exact dates, title, specialty and full-time clinical service.

·        Current BLS/ACLS/PALS and other role-specific certificates, as applicable.

·        Procedure/case logbook and current privilege list for surgical, procedural or technology-dependent roles.

·        Existing DataFlow/PSV report or UIN and DOH eligibility/licence, if already available.

·        Contact details for two or three recent clinical referees, preferably a Department Chair, Medical Director or direct Consultant supervisor.

How to apply

Submit your updated CV and supporting credentials through the Black Pearl website. Please ensure your application clearly states the exact specialty and subspecialty board/fellowship, current licence status, post-qualification experience and present location. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a confidential discussion and document review.
