As a Consultant, Reporting & Insights (Operational Resilience), you will develop and deliver insightful reporting to support operational resilience oversight and monitor the CPS230 Compliance Plan, on behalf of the FAR Accountable Executive. Leveraging enterprise data, analytics, and automation, you will provide meaningful management information and tailored insights that enable informed decision-making and effective risk oversight.

YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create data narratives and storylines that translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for leadership forums, including the Critical Operations Performance Review and Operational Resilience Forums.
  • Translate ad-hoc complex data into executive-ready insights. Make complicated multi‑system data simple, coherent and leadership‑ready.
  • Manage key team initiatives through to implementation, including monitoring resource capacity, financials, risks & issues.
  • Partner with various stakeholder groups including capability stream leads and finance partners to understand spend, forecasts and ensure delivery timelines.
  • Develop reporting for the portfolio of Critical Operations throughout their end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Maintain Operational Resilience reporting, including all engagement with data providers and the enterprise data and analytics team.
  • Identify critical data elements and other key data attributes supporting Critical Operations.
  • Support the induction and training for new CPS230 Obligation Owners and Critical Operation Owners.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in Financial Services as a business analyst in complex business settings.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and present it in an effective and meaningful manner.
  • Experience developing new or uplifted reporting, analytics and insights in cross-divisional teams.
  • Exposure to and understanding of the banking ecosystem, including critical banking services such as payments, lending and deposit-taking, and/or risk types such cyber-security and business continuity.
  • Prior experience with risk and compliance reporting.

Essential capabilities:

  • Strong ability to present data in graphical and visual formats using NAB's visualisation tools to meet business requirements.
  • Proven ability to convert data into information and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Understanding of financial services data, with the ability to interpret data models and relationships to develop reporting and metrics.
  • Strong planning, coordination and delivery skills.
  • High attention to detail, self-managed, strong data and problem-solving capabilities.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in data pipeline design and development, including working with diverse data types and managing data quality issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage senior leadership and Board-level audiences.

Soft Skills:

  • Work collaboratively across functions to align reporting approach to internal and external better practise, with a focus on escalating potential issues early.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outcomes-focused with exceptional attention to detail.

Skills Required
