The MarketScan operations specialist is responsible for the processing and creation of the multiple products under the MarketScan umbrella. The MarketScan operations specialist will work with a cross functional team to create, QA, and deliver the MarketScan products. You will be responsible for working with the team and ensure the changes are accurately implemented and all necessary quality checks are performed so the datasets are ready for client release.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run production process and programs to create the MarketScan deliverables.
- Review raw data and if necessary, translate data into the applicable output/target formats while adhering to all necessary conventions and standards.
- Implement appropriate test cases for new processes, perform appropriate testing on changes to existing processes and ensure that data is being transformed properly through unit testing and review of output data and reports.
- Review data quality reporting
- Debug SAS processing errors and data anomalies and implement solutions/fixes.
- Assist other product teams with questions and issues.
- Maintaining clean systems by archiving data, reviewing server space, and removing unnecessary files.
- Create and implement workflow process automation and monitoring.
- Work with OM and Dev for enhancements to our products and processes and train other team members on the process.
- Roll out production process updates and cross train other team members on the new processes.
- HIPAA Compliance Reporting
- Loading data into Azure
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Computer Science, or Healthcare-related field
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience working with large data sets in a high-volume data processing environment.
- Experience developing workflow process and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage professional business relationships and partnerships and work in a matrixed team environment
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with both the written and spoken word.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete work within allocated time frames.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, team building abilities, attention to detail, and knowledge of, or willingness to learn total quality management principles.
- Experience working/coding on AIX/UNIX server environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Azure
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with health insurance claims, administrative healthcare data and other reference data sets.
- SAS programming and scripting knowledge is a plus.
- API knowledge is a plus
- Experience using Rclone.
