Business Analysis serves as a liaison between the organization's businesses and IT systems development teams to align business strategies and capability needs and to ensure IT systems enable their desired value. This job family identifies and analyzes business needs, defines requirements and objectives, and makes recommendations for solutions using new and existing technologies. This job family researches and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) and translates business requirements into application requirements.
The Consultant, Business Analysis partners with business leaders and project teams to identify business needs and deliver Information Technology solutions. The Consultant defines project scopes in order to efficiently deliver on the identified business cases and ensures that solution development, implementation and change management activities achieve desired business goals. Through business process improvements and activation of new capabilities, the Consultant enables business units to achieve their operational and commercial objectives.

As part of our Corporate LRCGQ technology team, this role focuses on supporting pharmaceutical distribution quality and compliance, specifically through implementing and maintaining custom-developed applications for Controlled Substance Regulatory Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and translate complex business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications and maintain a healthy story backlog
  • Map end-to-end processes, ensuring requirements align with project scope and strategy.
  • Mediate and foster collaboration across IT teams to design and deliver solutions, leveraging existing capabilities.
  • Lead testing, verification, validation of requirements and solutions, and create test plan and script as needed.
  • Triage product issues and coordinate timely resolution with relevant teams.
  • Write SQL for testing, verification, and ad-hoc data requests.
  • Actively participate in all Agile development lifecycle phases, and lead agile ceremonies like stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning
  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Regulatory, Quality) to translate needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred , or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 5+ years as an IT Functional or Systems Analyst in a corporate environment preferred, with familiarity in custom-developed web applications.
  • Exceptional communication, listening, and presentation skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio).
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Proven ability to thrive in Agile environments, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Jira experience for user story management, sprint/release planning, tracking, and report/dashboard creation.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about continuous learning and professional development.
  • Familiarity with managing or solutioning applications within cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Anticipated salary range: $80,900 - $115,500
